Members
School Students from upper primary (13-16) and secondary school (16-19) can become members in SLL. The members are on the local level organised in student councils which are divided in 10 districts.

Approximately 50 000 school students (2004)

Three examples of activities organised by SLL

  • School student advocacy work by representing the school students in all public committees, working groups and other significiant bodies concerning secondary education
  • SLL is partly responsible for arranging the “STUDIA-fair” which is a big fair on tertiary education that provides secondary school students with information on higher studies.
  • The membership card is granting the members discount on a large ammount of different services such as transportations (trains, busses, ferries), cultural events, book stores etc.

  • Training days for student councils (one in every major school district)
  • The membership card is granting the members discount on a large amount of different services such as transportation (trains, busses, ferries), cultural events, book stores etc.
  • The Cultural festival where hundreds of school students can participate in workshops led by professional actors, musicians etc.
