In cooperation with the Macedonian National Television (MTV), USM have been working on two TV programs, one for school students and another one for NGO’s. The national Television have put all its resources available to provide the necessary equipment and teams working to support the school student union in the realization of the ideas. The Television also provided offices for the school student union where the work for the programmes was being prepared and the coordination realized. Both of the programmes had non-commercial nature.

“Mind your own business” was the programme for school students. It was an alternative programme opened to all the school student ideas in its concept. The programme idea was to provide space for the school students from Macedonia to express their vision, to present their opinion on different issues, to contribute to presentation of different ideas and to share information. In addition it was aimed at promoting understanding among school students from all the different ethnicities living in Macedonia.

Many of the editions were recorded in schools and at universities, but some also in the studio that was prepared for this purpose by school students. It was only school students responsible for the coordination of the programme.

Each of the editions was having its own theme covered and was involving many young people. One programme focused on what books Macedonian school students read and pushed for making these books available in school libraries etc. Another programme focused on the life of school students attending special schools such as art schools etc. Yet another programme followed various school student bands and recorded videos for these bands.

NGO Media (Non-governmental organisations media) was the second programme prepared by USM. This programme was focused on promoting participation of young people in youth organisations by giving possibility to the different youth NGO’s to present the work they do, the activities they organise and the programmes they plan for future, additionally inviting people interested in their work to join.
