...provided a detailed overlook of: the school student situation in the Balkans, the work of the school student organizations in SEE and the work of OBESSU in SEE;
...discussed the following aspects of the SEE project: priorities, events, fundraising, contact developing and information sharing;
...defined: the input of the SEE WG, a work strategy and a work plan for SEE.

Meeting of OBESSU’s Working Group for SEE (17th and 18th of May 2008)


The OBESSU Coordinating office for SEE is organizing a meeting of the WG for SEE, at which the Secretary General, Giuseppe Beccia and the Board member responsible for SEE, Antonia Wulf, will also take part. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the further steps that are to be taken in regard to the SEE project implementation and the specific input of the project team. 
 

OBESSU’s Working Group for SEE up-dated!  (April 2008)

Aiming to enable a successful implementation of the SEE project, OBESSU has re-established the SEE Working Group. Selected on the bases of having a previous experience in the cooperation with OBESSU and considering the project’s priority areas, the WG members are:  Ivica Alpeza, President of Administrative board and Coordinator for International relations of ASuBiH; Aleksandra Madziski, International Officer of UNSS and Sergei Hoxha, Debate Coordinator of MJAFT and OBESSU contact person for school student issues in Albania. The WG will work under the guidelines of OBESSU Board member, Antonia Wulf and the Coordinator for SEE, Deniza Bundalevska.



...Bosnia and Herzegovina


 ASuBiH organizes Round Tables (19th-20th of March 2008)

On 19th of March ASuBiH organized a round table with Non-governmental organizations and on 20th of March, a round table with Governmental organizations of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The first Round Table was held with 15 representatives of non-governmental organizations whose primary work objective are secondary school students and the second one was held with 15 representatives of the governmental sector. The aim of these round tables was to establish a strong link of communication and cooperation between ASuBiH and NGO and the governmental sector. 

Peer to peer workshops (March 2008)

On 8-9th and 15-16th of March in Sarajevo, ASuBiH (Association of Secondary school students in Bosnia and Herzegovina) held peer to peer workshops on work, leadership, communication and conflicts for 30 school students from different regions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Four members of ASuBiH, previously provided with professional training on the issue, lead these workshops.

21st of March - International Day against Racism (21st of March 2008)
Fighting Racism with Creativity!

On the occasion of the International Day Against Racism, UNSS and the „All Different-All Equal“National Campaign Committee (NCC) organized an interactive public workshop for making badges on the theme of Human Rights, Tolerance and Non-Discrimination.
The workshop was held in Belgrade’s centre, where citizens were given the opportunity to express their creativity  - disign and make their own badge on this day’s occasion.
The most creative badges are going to be exposed in the Ozon Galerie, together with the photographies of the „All Different –All Equal“ Photo Concours (open until the 20th of April). The exibition will be open from the 5th to the 7th of June. 

Labeling schools "All Different All Equal" has started in Serbia! (December 2007)

UNSS has started the project in December 2007 and it is to be carried out within the next 9 months. The project is conducted in 10 secondary schools in 10 different towns in Serbia. Different activities are organized in these schools that involve the students as well as teachers of the schools. ll of the activities promote the values of the campaign: Human Rights, Diversity & Participation.

… Kosovo

Projects of the Student Council of Kosovo (January 2008)

The Student Council of Kosovo is already implementing their first projects: an awareness campaign and round tables, addressing the issue of violence in schools and motivating school student to be more active; training course and lectures addressing the issue of drugs in schools… KSC will continue to implement activities that tackle the issue of violence in schools and will work on the implementation of the Declaration for School Students Rights approved by OBESSU.
KYC (Youth Council of Kosovo) has the role of facilitator during the KSC meetings and will remain mentor organization until the structure becomes self sustainable.
