UdS calls for global student action!

“Rete della Conoscenza”, the organisation formed by OBESSU’s Italian member organisation Unione degli Studenti, UdS, together with Link, representing Italian university students and researchers, published a letter-appeal to call for the 17th of November, the International Students’ Day, to be the start of a global student action for real democracy. In the meanwhile UdS also launches a campaign called ‘Occupytheschool’.

Both initiatives were conceived as reactions to the international financial crisis, the widespread cuts in education and tuition fee increase and follow up to the 15th of October movement where students took the streets in 79 countries, to call for change. UdS, therefore, calls for a united global student movement to bring back real democracy.
