Members
The BSK consists of fourteen state student councils in Germany. It offers its members an exchange platform for ideas in educational policy, as well as the opportunity of carrying demands in those matters to the federal level of German politics.
Dealing with educational policies of national significance, our aim is to in first place attain the development of a joint informed opinion as well as representing common, interest towards the public and federal german educational policy makers. Therefore, while working on those matters, the BSK manages to create a network between the state student councils and thus operating as a federal student council in a limited way.
Since the BSK is a non-partisan, non-denominational organisation its resolutions and demands confine themselves on matters of educational policies like:
- The strengthening of student rights
- Increasing the codetermination and inclusion of students in educational facilities as well as educational policy affairs
- Mutual exchange of ideas between federal student councils
