Hello people,

I’m happy to introduce myself as the new Projects and Operations Manager. I officially started my OBESSU journey on the 4th of September and I will be focusing on funding and partnership coordination, donor relationships and the overall management of the Projects team.

My commitment to the world of education started during university where I became the president of Sussex STAR (Student Action for Refugees), an association aiming to improve the lives of refugees and asylum seekers in the UK by raising awareness of the challenges faced by displaced populations, campaigning against inhumane immigration policies, and fundraising to support refugee organisations. Being part of STAR led me to pursue the EQUAL ACCESS campaign, whose goal is to secure scholarships and opportunities for refugees to access higher education in the UK.

My interest in this field has grown ever stronger when I joined the Council of Europe Education Department, where I analysed and familiarised myself with a wide range of education policy trends, specifically concerning digital and democratic citizenship education. Moreover, as an alumna of an Erasmus Mundus Master, an Erasmus+ trainee, and a teacher myself, I firmly believe in the benefit of mobility opportunities and intercultural education and I’m eager to contribute to achieving a more inclusive and high-quality education for all.

I’m looking forward to bringing my energetic spirit and my uncoordinated dance moves to the OBESSU team!
